BCHS Students Have Photos Selected for Photographic Society of America's Youth Showcase
Congratulations to Noemi Moreno and Miriam Navarrete, juniors at Bradley Central High School, for having their digital photographs selected for inclusion in the Photographic Society of America's (PSA) 2019 Youth Showcase. Photos selected for the Showcase will be displayed at the PSA Conference in Spokane, Washington September 25 - September 28, 2019.
Chattanooga Youth Gallery
Presented by Tennessee Valley Federal Credit Union, the Chattanooga Youth Gallery is a juried art gallery event open to all Chattanooga and surrounding area high school visual art students. Join us on Friday, April 26th from 6-9 p.m. for an evening of art, entertainment and hors d'oeuvres. The event will be held at Bessie Smith Cultural Center, 200 East M.L.King Blvd., Chattanooga, TN 37403. Tickets are $2.00 for youth and $5.00 for adults. Tickets will be sold at the door.

4 Bradley Central Students Recognized at Youth Photography Showcase
Four Bradley Central High School students were recognized at the 2019 Youth Photography Showcase (YPS) Awards Program sponsored by the Photographic Society of Chattanooga. The Showcase highlights outstanding photographs taken by local public, private and home school students in grades 9-12. The following BCHS students had photographs selected to advance to the next level of judging, for possible inclusion in the Photographic Society of America's (PSA) Youth Photography Showcase (to be held in conjunction with PSA’s 2019 national conference in Spokane, Washington).

Student Watercolor Auction
The Museum Center at 5ive Points will be holding a Student Watercolor Auction on Thursday, March 28th. The auction will feature the artwork of local public and private school students. There will be a silent auction beginning at 3:00 p.m. followed by a live auction at 6:00. Don't miss your opportunity to view and bid on these artworks. 100% of the proceeds from the auction will be donated to the students' schools and will benefit arts in education.

Bradley H.S. Jazz Ensemble Performs at UTK Jazz Festival
The BCHS Jazz Ensemble did a great job at the 2019 UT Jazz Festival today! These students have been wonderful to work with this year!

Bodhran Workshop at Valley View and Michigan Avenue
Andy Kruspe, a Hunstville based bodhran teacher and performer is conducting a bodhran residency with
the Fourth and Fifth grades at Valleyview and Michigan Avenue the week of February 19-22nd. Students
will be exposed to the music and culture of Ireland, as well as correct playing techniques for the bodhran, an Irish frame drum. In addition, each school will have a parent drum night, where students and parents will experience playing the bodhran together. This residency is funded by a grant from the Allied Arts Council of the Cleveland/Bradley Chamber of Commerce.

Vocal Motion Christmas 2018
It is thrilling to be a part of such a great team. Vocal Motion went above and beyond this year by
arranging their entire Christmas show. The song selection, arrangements, and choreography all came
from this great group. We are looking forward to the future at BCHS.

Student of the Month
The OMS Fine Arts Department is proud to announce that 8th grader, Gabe Dill, is our Fine Arts Student of the Month. Gabe has been heavily involved in the choir department since his 6 th grade year. He has performed solos at concerts and has been invited to sing in the East Tennessee Vocal Association Honor Choir in 7 th grade and 8 th grade. He has received the most outstanding choir member award every year at OMS as well. Gabe has also been in the musical at OMS every year. He was in Singing in the Rain Jr. and Lion King Jr. This year he was cast as the Baron in this year’s production of Chitty Chitty, Bang Bang Jr. He is also a member of the Sound of Tennessee Barbershop Chorus. In addition to his accolades in the arts, he is also an Honor Roll Student, participated in the Duke Tip Program, a member of the Beta Club, a 4H Honor club member, and a top academic award winner. Gabe embodies excellence in all that he does.
